Sunday Scribblings #155 - " I Come From..."

I come from
The fertile darkness
Of earth’s womb--
A miniscule sprout,
Securely wrapped
In amniotic soil,
Protected
From battering winds
And pounding rains,
But ever growing
Stretching
Reaching
For the rays of sunlight.
Emerging finally
Bursting forth--
A tiny seedling.
