Fall Fun

Yesterday, my Mom, Aunt and Sister attended a local fall event. The event took place in Pioneer Village, which is located in a wooded area. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere as well as the sights and smells of the outdoors.

As we entered, we were greeted with these lovely mums.

We saw several primitive cabins, all decorated for fall.

We enjoyed the live music

More music...I wonder if these instruments were hand made.

Many craftsmen were demonstrating their skills.

These folks seem to be enjoying the open campfire. I see an extra chair--maybe I could join them for a spell. We had a good time. I love this time of year!

Skyline Drive

This past summer, Sunshine & I took a road trip which included a visit to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. These photos are from the "Skyline Drive" we took through the park.

The route is aptly named, for it almost seems as if you are driving into the sky.

One of the many beautiful views on this scenic drive.

Another lovely sight.

Sunshine and I both love the rock formations.

This bare tree stands proud and erect against the beautiful background.

More beautiful summer sky--what an enjoyable drive.

Watch your balance!

It was indeed a long and winding road.

How green were the valleys.

We had a great time and are already looking forward to our next trip, wherever it might be!

Hello...

Just dropping by to say "hello." It has been a busy summer, and I have been away from blogland way too long. But now that fall has arrived, I am hoping to get back to blogging. I have missed all of you and hope you have had a good summer.
